Acer, Toshiba, Asustek to Reveal Windows 8 Tablets

Innovation is the word in today's gadget driven world. We are slowly moving away from desktops to laptops and to tablets. Tablets are the latest fad to hit the market. Computer companies like Acer, Toshiba do not want to lose the tablet race to iPad. They have now joined hands with Microsoft and are going to unveil tablets with Windows 8 operating systems at the 32nd Computex trade show in Taipei.

At the trade show Acer is all set to launch a standard tablet with Windows 8 as the operating System. Acer has decided to stick with Microsoft's old faithful Intel for its chip unlike Asustek, who according to sources will use tablets based on an Nvidia ARM- based chip called Tegra along with another one powered by an Intel chip. Asustek plans to launch Windows 8 on a tablet with a detachable keyboard, like its Transformer model. Along with a tablet Toshiba is all set to unveil a notebook as well. Toshiba had decided to use Texas Instruments for its processors.

According to the Evercore Group LLC, the tablet market will only keep growing from here, while the good old desktop and laptop may soon start disappearing from the market. So Acer, Toshiba and Asustek have chosen wisely to gear up in the world of tablets. The tablet market has been predicted to grow at 70% per year till 2015.

The world of gadgets never sleeps. Though Windows was caught napping for some time they have woken up and jumped into the tablet race along with Acer, Toshiba and Asustek and many other manufactures.
